Very frustrated with the slowness of my laptop.. I don't have ssd but still 10 min is too much. I have upgraded to windows 10.

I received a notice to update my BIOS.

I ran the update.
The update seems to be stuck.
It is not allowing me to shut down the PC.
When I try to shut down, Windows says:
(Waiting for) VAIO Update Control
Update programs are running.
Click “Cancel” to cancel the shutdown, logoff, a restart.
Is it okay to force a shutdown?

How do I re-install all the SONY's setting and drivers from 4 DVDs (Sony Recovery DVDs set) but NOT re-install the OS ?

Windows 7 pro want to re-install
I want to Re-install windows 7 pro, long time ago i had x64 bit system but then there was a need to re-install windows (something went wrong) and I got x32bit system. Now i want to get back to the x64 but to download ISO for it i need a key and my pre-installed windows key it gives "The product key you entered appears to be for software pre-installed by the device manufacturer. Please contact the device manufacturer for software recovery options" so this is why i am writing here.

How do I replace both the HDD and SDD on a SVT13124CXS. Is there a way to clone the drive to a replacement?
I run a program a disk management program called Sentenal. Both the HDD and SSD have low health issues. From Internet searches, it appears that I cannot just put in another drive. Seems there's an issue in regard to the HDD being a hybrid with a 32 SSD cache drive. So what HDD drives can I use as a replacement or am I better off changing to an SSD drive and get rid of the 32GB cache? Can I, or do I need to, clone the existing drive to the replacement?

I have a Sony VAIO VPCL111FX (PCV-A1111L) AIO desktop. According to its specs, the system board supports Socket LGA775.
What is the maximum CPU type supported by this model? Technically, Socket LGA775 supports Intel Xeon @ 3.40GHz. Will the system board work with this CPU or is it configured to work with specific CPU types?

Help with outdated sony vaio laptop outdated and not been on for over a year
I have a sony vaio the computer is out of date I just received the power cord and turned it on but I am concerned about overloading the system with updates and making it completely useless. The current operating system is Windows XP model number PCG-7A2L VGN-FS640/W Is is possible to upgrade to Windows 8 or 8.1 without causing more problems? I have WiFi internet and wanted to wait until I can get some guidance knowing how quickly it can turn into total ****** very quickly. Thia computer seems to be in good shape other then the outdated XP so if I should just use it as it is I can make adjustments as I really do not care for Windows 10 at all it seems as we move ahead we lose more and more control over our computers. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.

I have change the ram ! Also nothing, o was use external screen with the VGA or HDMI out ! Aslo nothing.
I was try the support button but nothing on the display !!
Please any solution for my Laptop!!?

Unfortunately, I accidentally and stupidly pressed 'Remove', before I'd read the whole thing, and since then VAIO Care will not work.
I tried restoring my computer to an earlier time, using a restore point only a few days old, but could not do so, apparently because a file was 'missing'. I am assuming Windows Defender has deleted the said file i.e.:
file: C:\Program Files\Sony\VAIO Care\Iolo\ioloToolsTypeLib.dll and as a consequence disabled VAIO Care. Is there any way I can recover/download/replace the missing software/file and so get VAIO Care operational again? The only option I seem to have at present is to use a System Image from several months ago, but I don't want to do that if there is a simpler way. I have to confess I'm pretty useless with computers so any advice would be welcome. Thanks!

VGN-SZ340P Audio Issues
I recently installed another motherboard as my sigmatel audio drivers had a yellow exclamation mark.
This board had been flashed to vgn-sz440N. I installed all the XP drivers etc.
Everything works bluetooth, switches and buttons on the ANL-66 board, except audio - no sound at Vaio Logo nor windows.
Tried another ANL-66 board with no luck.
Any ideas??

1. memory from 2 x 2GB PC3 8700s to 2 x 4GB PC3 10600S.
2. Operating system from windows 7 pro 74bit to Windows 8.1 pro 64bit.
I have some problem on memory. IN dxdiag memory read 8GB. While in task managger the memory only 3.75gb. in my computer properties read RAM 8GB, (3.75 GB usable).
Please advice to solve the problem
