i have visited the sony support site and they dont have a listing for my up to date vaio. Does anyone own a SONY VAIO TAP 20 svT21216CGB OR know of this product????

i have reset my sony vaio tap 20 svT21216CGB AND DISCOVERED THAT ALL THE PREXISTING APPS INCLUDING VAIO Care (Desktop), VAIO Control Center, VAIO Data Restore Tool, VAIO Update, VaioCareUpdate, POWERPOINT, CPU DIAGNOSTICS, SONY MUSIC APPS AND MORE APPS ARE LOST. 

I dont have the original discs and found these apps usful. 

Does anyone know how to reinstall them and have them working again on my computer?

Also is there any other tasks one would advise me in getting my computer to a good recovery save point.

Since resetting i have created a tempuary ecovery point with paid software saved at this point ; so going back to windows 8.1 maybe too difficult. Can someone advise me?

Hello,

 

I have a SVS13135CDB laptop. I had tried upgrading to Win10, but due to facing lots of problems, restored back to win 8.1 and all my crazy probs with lappy started x_X.

 

tried eveyrhitn i could think of, SFC & DISM commands, updating softwares and OS, reinstalling drivers but my situation got worse in every adn each step x_X

 

So i wanted to restore back to factory settings using the recovery media the store have supplied and bo00OOom !

 

It says you can use these volumes as they are Win 8 and not your current OS which is win8.1 Smiley Indifferent

 

Now I'm  in ****** :-(

 

Any opinion to get me out is really appreaciated.

[I do really mean it, even if there is no solution, I am ready to fdisk my HDD and use a Crac**d  windwos version]

Hi all!

Please, I have a VAIO SVE1511MFXS (or SVE151D11L) with 8GB(2x4GB) RAM memory and 750MB of hard disk.

I would like to upgrade the RAM memory to 16MB (2 sticks of 8GB) and the hard disk to 1TB (hybrid? SSD?).

Is it possible?

What is the correct product to my Vaio model?

Hi...My Vaio is SVE 15129CGW model...

and I cant open it today...after being away a few months from NZ...

 

could the screen need replacing already even if hardly any use of this i7 laptop that was quite expensive!?

 

What can I try to get the laptop to open and clear the screen of coloured lines and flashing SONY...!!?

Sony VAIO svF15N18PGB not starting up

I switched on my VAIO notebook this morning after about 2 months. I don't see the computer starting up and nothing is coming up on the display. Display is as it was switched off.

 

I checked the power cable and i can see the green LED on the adapter is on. So power is coming through.

Also saw the notebook was in charging with the amber LED on the computer indicating it's charging.

After about couple of hours amber lights is no longer there. I think it's fully charged now. I can see the green LED on the notebook is on.

I tried to reset the computer about 3 times switching off and switching on but nothing happens. I can hear the FAN is working inside though. Other than the FAN and green LED light on the notebook there is no any other indication that machine is switched on. My machine is about 2 years old and have not used much at all.

 

Has anyone faced with this sort of an issue? Any advise is welcome.

This device's screen completely stopped working shortly after upgrading to windows 10. I was still able to use it via HDMI and TV screen. I finally had some time and tried a factory reset, now it won't even boot. The black screen with white Vaio logo comes up, then back to no signal. I tried the battery reset on the bottom by the HDMI port, and it brought me to a blue screen that said windows didn't start correctly, restart or advanced. I tried restart, and it didn't help, back to square one. I'm hoping I don't have to call Sony and pay the price of a new laptop for support. My husband and I are tech savvy (he's got 10 more years expereince on me), so given the direction, I can figure most things out. I'm afraid that the restore possibly wiped the "hidden" boot drive. I sincerely appreciate any help!

Hi! Please, I've a question about how to switch AHCI on the IDE in the BIOS mode? And could I update the BIOS on my PC if it was bought and delivered from USA?

I've seen the official patch wich named as AIBSYS-22548489-US.EXE and want to know can I insall it?

We are going to be selling our SIX Sony Vaio Tap 11 tablets and I need to set them back to their original factory settings to clean off everything.  I have tried the F10 method 3 times now and it doesn't work.  Is there any other way to format the hard drive back to the factory settings?
