S Series Cut out and no power

Power cut out suddenly and now will not switch back on. Have tried the suggestions I read on other threads with no success. There is no lights on it anywhere even when plugged in. Light is on power adapter box but not laptop.

Sony Vaio SVE1513MCXS - is able to upgrade memory to 16Gb?
Hi all,
I have sony vaio SVE1513MCXS.

Dear Sony people.
I have Vaio Model SVP13212SG that has lost it's partition. My recovery disk is also damaged.
I am unable to use this product as your support has withdrawn from our country.
Please advise where I can download a Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 64 bit image recovery disk for this notebook.
I have been struggling for weeks on end to get assistance.

Recovery File
Hey guys,
I have a Sony VAIO VPCEH15FX, been with me for almost 8 years now. I replaced my HDD a while ago and installed a Windows 7 so I lost my original recovery file from Sony. I don't have any of the drivers or assisst button work anymore, brightness or sound adjusting. My laptop had the windows 7 running but I'm not sure which one was it (home, basic, premium..). Now I want to format my laptop it got so slow. How can I get the original recovery file from sony so that I can reset my laptop to it's factory state.

System Restore gone wrong, please help
I have a Sony VAIO 2013 laptop model #SVE151J1J13L, and did a system restore earlier today wanting to wipe everything off and start over at factory settings since I've filled the disk up too much. After the system restore was complete, if asked me to press restart to boot it up again and to restart and once I did that, the fans started going crazy and the screen would be on the black VAIO screen for about 6-8 seconds, disappear and then leave on a black blank screen and then come back for 6-8 seconds again. It's sort of blinks like this for a while. I forced turned it off because it was obviously running my battery pretty badly. Nothing was plugged in, had it on charge during the system restore process though. I don't know what to do, I need it to go start into Windows again so I can use, this is my school laptop and need it. Any help or tips? Or if I killed my laptop, please tell me what I did wrong. Thank you.

Sony VAIO SVE151G11M laptop
I changed the BIOS setting from UEFI boot to Legacy boot, now I cannot get into the BIOS using F2 or access the BIOS using the ASSIST key on the keyboard. I also turned off Secure Boot. I did all this because I wanted to boot from a USB key before the hard drive.
I then rebooted and the laptop cannot find the internal hard drive. How can I get into the BIOS if these methods do not work, please? I need to change the boot setting from Legacy back to UEFI.
To be clear:-
1. ASSIST button doesn't trigger anything
2. F2 button doesn't trigger anything
3. None of the function keys trigger anything
4. DEL key doesn't trigger anything
Do I need the recover DVDs to get into the BIOS through the Sony VAIO Care software?
Is it possible to reset the BIOS using a jumper on the motherboard?
Is it possible to download the recover software on USB stick for USB booting as the laptop is able to boot from USB.

Screen stays dimmed
Hi All,
I have SVS1311CGX that I love and worked perfectly fine until I dropped it and broke its screen.
Today I replaced the broken screen with a new one and the picture was fine except that the brightness was a bit dimmer than usual.
I edited the featuretestcontrol and since than the screen is staying dimmed. It looks as if a black screen saver is running,not as if it is completely off.
More notes:
- I can connect an external screen and use the laptop normally, but the laptop screen stays black (or asleep).
- When I change brighness the black color on the screen gets a lighter or darker shade of black.
- I reinstalled the graphic drivers. didn't help.
- Current value of featuretestcontrol: f920
- I run on windows 7.
Any ideas how to solve it?
