I recently had my laptop stolen and I filed a police report. In an effort to find the laptop, it would be very helpful to them if I provided the laptop serial number. I don't have that but I have my order number from when I purchased my laptop. I need your help to use my order number to identify the laptop serial number. Please let me know you can assist. Windows to reinstall the factory setting
I have Sony vioa SVF1521B2EN. After updating, the laptop, it does not reboot/restart. Every time I turn on the laptop, only show the logo on the screen. I tried pressing shift and F8. Has no respond. I unplug the battery and turn it back on, I tried assist. I enter bios, no respond, I tried self repair and went completely blank screen. I don't have the dics/USB stick to 're install the file.
I am not sure what to do. Do anyone know where can I download the installation file for this laptop Windows 8.1 64gb.
Anyone have any solutions on this matter. Advise is greatly appreciated.

208 windows updates after recovery?
I just factory reset my laptop Sony vaio that I got in 2011. Great working condition still but was really lagging due to all the junk... Now that I factory reset obviously since older, there are A Lot of windows updates that are showing up that go all the way back to 2011. And most of them are updates for the same program /system. So I need to know do I update all of them? Just the most recent update (for the same program /system)? Do I have to do the update from 2011 if one is present for 2017? I don't want my computer to lag again from the hard drive being filled up with the updates.
And if I have to do all of them, do I do one at a time starting with the latest one? Ugggg... Help!!

Hi I bought in US my sony vaio laptop VPCEB33FM in US few years ago. I'm in the Philippines right now and when I turn on my laptop a message appears on the screen " Smart failure predicted on hard disk warning. Immediately back-up your data and replace your hard disk dirve. Failure may be imminent. Whats the hard drive for it and where can i buy it? Also I read somewhere that I need recovery disc for it. Tap 20 SVJ202390X upgradeable to 16GB?
My Tap 20 (SVJ202390X) currently has 8GB. I'd like to upgrade it to 16GB. Searching for specs on the web, I see multiple references that say the maximum supported RAM is 8GB. But also found a memory vendor who sells a 16GB kit (2x8G) that claims to be compatible with this model. Does anyone know if 16GB will work?
