VGC-LT33CE-Screen not working due to bad circumstances. Please read.

Hi there!

 My mom attached her Vaio to a flat screen and was watching  programs  from the computer.

Then my sister downloaded something she shouldnt have and it infected the computer. When trying to do a restore on the system files the power went out in the apartment and the tv that was attached to the computer quit working. When my  mom tried to move the tv she dropped it breaking something in the tv but the screen quit working completely.  So i unplugged the computer thinking that the main screen should kick in and it didn't.

 So when starting the computer there is no screen whatsoever.

I don't know what to do!

The computer sounds like its booting up fine but i can't see it.

 Can anyone please please help me out.

Fix Assist Button? (Or have access to boot options without it)

A long time ago, when I bought my laptop (Everything working fine), I tried to dualboot it with Linux, and I found out that while the Power Button still booted Windows directly, the Assist Button would boot Grub (or whatever I was using, can't really remember), and the option to access the rescue partition was there, so well, I still had a way to access the BIOS and the other settings. Some unknown amount time later constantly using Windows, when I decided to use my linux partition through the Assist button, well, nothing happened, just black screen.

 

I then found out that whatever happened, happened on the EFI partition. Windows still boots alright, but without it, I can't even refresh it, it just boots back to windows or a black screen, probably because the efi expected to boot doesn't exist anymore.

 

I would like to fix it, no idea how, I would expect that having factory EFI files, I could just replace them via Windows and everything go back to normal, all partitions are still there, just can't acess them. Tried to use my recovery USB that I made when I bought it, and couldn't boot from it, it just boots windows and nothing else.

 

Another way to see it would be to think I had to change my HD and now there is no Sony default partitions available.

 

So, any solution?

I have a vavio laptop and the model is sve14aj16l. The os becomes unstable now after upgrading window 8.1.

Is it possible back to the original os?

How do I update the recovery partition from VISTA(pre-installed) to Windows 7 (SONY free upgrade)

When I purchased my VAIO laptop PCG-7171L, VISTA was pre-installed to the recovery partition (access via F10 key during bootup), and I upgraded to Windows 7 (SONY free upgrade) a few months later. How can I update the old recovery partition which has VISTA factory installed to be replaced with my current OS which is windows 7 ?

Restore to Factory Settings doesn't work

I have a Sony Vaio laptop PCG-7D27 running XP. I restored to factory settings and everything works but computer cannot connect to internet even though wireless shows it is connected. I repeated the restore with same results.  I think the restore file is somehow corrupted. Is there a way to get the restore files on CD or DVD- I am willing to purchase if needed.  Any other suggestions on how to get the computer and internet working?

Sony Vaio factory reset- can't get on to internet

I have done a recovery and factory reset to my Sony Vaio laptop PCG-TD27- Everything works fine except I cannot get onto the internet. I am able to connect to wireless with good strength but when I try to go on explorer it tell me I cannot connect. All wireless diagnostics confirm that I have a wireless connection. I have done the factory reset again and also restored from disks but same problem. I cannot upgrade explorer or upgrade/update, etc. Any idea what the problem is or how I can solve the problem? Wireless was working before the restore. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

I have 4gb Ram & just did a complete factory restore but my machine is still running slow. It is a 2.10 GHz machine w/Intel Core i3-2130MC processor.  Can I upgradge to 4gb Ram?

Hello I have a VGNP698e with Vista Home Premium and it has a VALID key under the battery. It WILL NOT ACTIVATE and when I called  Microsoft they confirmed and stated that I needed to contact "Sony" to get it activated. PLEASE ADVISE

Sony Vaio VGN-A190 RAM upgrade

I inherited a VGN-A190 brand new in the box. It came with XP and 512MB in 2X256MB DDR 333Mhz CL2.5 Infineon chips (PC2700S-2533-0-A1). I read the manual and found it could be upgraded to 2GB max. I bought 2X1GB PC2700 DDR 333Mhz non ECC LD unbuffered chips from Komputer Bay. I installed them both and the laptop won't start. Just makes an initial hard drive spin-noise and then abruptly fizzes out, waits a second or two then starts spiinning but there's no screen image and you can let it run all night but nothing happens. When I take out one of the 1GB chips and replace it with one of the old 256MB chips it runs fine. I swapped out all chips in all slots and no matter the configuration it always does the same thing with both 1GB chips in (won't start) and works fine when sharing with an old chip. I've downloaded PC Wizard and updated the BIOS and tried to boot into the BIOS with both 1GB chips in but no dice. Any ideas, anyone? It's not life or death but just bugs me when something mysteriously doesn't work and it really should.

hi    i have"  Sony  vaio  svs131e21w" laptop which running windows 8.1 enterprise and when i m trying to install windows updates it become to stuck on 75% and take a long time after this it tell me "we could not complete the updates  .undo changes " and take some time . . i checked  found that the issue with update package kb 2919355. so is there any solution for that ?
